There is no doubt that washing your hands with soap is the best remedy to keep them clean, but sometimes a situation might occur where this service is not available. In these cases, using a hand sanitizer can serve as a patch to maintain hygiene, thus preventing the proliferation of germs. Buying a ready-made sanitizer is very simple but did you know you can make one yourself too? You just have to follow these steps-
1. As ingredients, you will need water, 96º pharmacy alcohol and commercial aloe vera as pure as possible. The star product of the formula will be the essential oil of tea tree, extracted from the leaves of the shrub Melaleuca Alternifolia, well known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties.
2. For 100 grams, mix 44 grams of 96º alcohol with 16 grams of water. Then add 1 gram of tea tree essential oil and mix vigorously to dissolve the oil in the hydroalcoholic solution. Next, add 40 grams of aloe vera and mix again so that everything is well homogenous.
3. Fill a container, preferably with a dispenser, with the previous mixture.
4. You can now use the product by applying some of the liquid on your hands and rub dry.Keep in mind that frequent use can dry the skin.
Warning: In some people, tea tree essential oil causes sensitivity and irritation. It is safe for children under 12. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are recommended to not use this. Incase of any doubt, you can always consult your doctor.
However, to be on the safest side, you can simply get a skin-friendly waterless body cleaning product like Clensta International Waterless Bath from a nearby store and enjoy proper hygiene without using a single drop of water.
